The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury desire me to say, in reply to your letter of the 23rd instant, that They concur in the proposal of Mr Secretary Chamberlain that the Convict, Edith Carew, should be removed from Hong Kong to a prison in this country, and therein maintained at the expense of British Funds.
